Another Chinese anime, ruthlessly slaughtered. The first series had elegantly drawn characters and backgrounds. The storyline was not particularly unusual, but it was enjoyable to watch a female cultivator lead, which is a rarity, and some of the supernatural elements were engaging. In series two, they changed the animation style from hand-drawn to some awful 3D with a "drawing overlay" look. Suddenly, the characters are engaging in rap battles and moving around like bobbleheads. I really had to struggle to get through 3 episodes. Series one was worth watching, but I honestly can't recommend this poorly animated/acted season two.Very disappointed.
