The Vermilion Mask · review

It's a battle shonen style story about making masks in old London... If that sounds weird and boring to you then you would be correct. The pacing is horrendous with constant jumping between over-the-top battles and random people talking about masks. The battles have no buildup whatsoever. The characters have no introductions. What I've deciphered from the story is that the bad guys want to collect masks, and the good guys also want to collect masks. I'm sure in later volumes the story will evolve but this is a painful way to start. If they wanted a good template for battle shonen they should havejust copied Demon Slayer.
