6 /10

TL;DR Story: 7/10 (so far) So far so good. Art: 8/10 (so far) Using chibi characters in war themed is a new thing for me. Character: 5/10 (so far) Forgettable beside the MC.Enjoyment: 6/10 (so far)

First one to review here, I'm still a beginner to this so bear with me.

Reading Peleliu: Paradise of Guernica is like watching WW2 movies not on American side but more on the Japanese side. It tells a story about group Japanese soldiers trying to survive the battle of Pelelius and many of them think that there is no way they could survived the battle. I like the realism approach by the author of using the horrors of bombardment of both sea and air and cause the soldiers to feeling more hopeless that they could survived the day. Because there are no interests to this manga, the translators decided to drop the project right after the end of the first volume so it's hard for me to review it any further thus I cannot see the full potential of this manga and it couldn't help that the first volume was only about the introduction so I give it a 6/10 for now.
