Before I get into this I should say that this is a spinoff of the Crayon Shin-chan franchise and I haven't seen or read that ever. I'd probably like this more if I was familiar with its parent series, but to be fair I didn't hate this. There was a surprising amount of enjoyment I was able to get out of it despite my ignorance. The main character here is Hiroshi Nohara, who I assume is a central character in Shin Chan, like maybe Shin's father or something like that, and it follows him working a little bit, but mostly when he'soff work traveling around, having fun interactions with other people, and, as the title suggests, eating. I don't know why but I always find it to be a weird but fun cliche whenever an anime that is not ABOUT food has characters eating and they suddenly become food critics, deeply analying the flavors and texture of the food, and this series does that. And there's admittingly some funny visuals, at times, when he's doing it too. The animation is poor, but there's strangely a charm to it in this case, unlike the Potions Isekai from Fall 2025 that I watched recently.
