This was a wonderful and refreshing BL read! It's a well-crafted story of an established couple that weaves narration of how they got together with the present day and captures the kindness, love, loneliness and insecurity that exists between them as they navigate if they will stay together. I found both characters really likable, and liked the way they were drawn. The story also has tension and drama that feels realistic and not overly angsty and I found myself invested in their story rather than feeling anxious while I read. Content warning: a side character makes a pass at one of the main characters in away that is very boundary crossing, and although he's rejected and then remorseful about it, it's still a tough moment in the story.
