Story: 9/10 I have not read the manga so I can't comment on the accuracy of the anime in that regard, but what I will say is I loved the story of Devilman: Crybaby. Seeing the relationships between demons and humans (and of course, Devilmen), as well as Ryo and Akira develop and progress throughout the show was fantastic and entertaining. The beginning was shocking and intriguing while ending was climactic and fulfilling in my opinion. In only 10 episodes, the show manages to get a lot of things said and done wasting no time on fluff which was impressive to say the least. The pacingwas fast but not too fast which served the show well by keeping it interesting and fresh.

Art: 10/10

Outstanding, the use of colours in the show paired with the fluent movements of the characters were a breath of fresh air. The show took a risk by having a unique art style on the unorthodox side and it paid off big time. A highlight of the anime for me.

Sound: 10/10

Hands down the best part of the anime. I have never watched anything, anime or otherwise with this good of a soundtrack. The music complemented the strange art style perfectly and built up tension as well as created epic and memorable moments consistently through the show. If I could give this an 11/10 I would because that's how good it was. Sound effects and voice acting were also great so I have no complaints about those.

Character: 8/10

Main characters Ryo and Akira were great, which is to be expected since the story revolves around their relationship. Supporting characters mostly serve their purpose well but some were forgettable and lacked in characterisation. The really minor characters were not the greatest and sometimes had unclear motives which is why this section is an 8.

Enjoyment: 10/10

Highly enjoyable, the art and music combo paired with the story and well established setting made this show enjoyable throughout its duration. It is not a long anime, but it is clearly focussed on quality over quantity.

Overall: 10/10

I should mention this anime has high amounts of nudity and the violence is pretty grotesque at times. These are valid reasons to avoid this anime but if you are ok with these then this anime is fantastic, consider giving it a try.
