Review of The Ancient Magus' Bride
For those wondering, no it's no pedophilia: they don't kiss or have sex, is basically a platonic relationship. Also Elias isn't human and don't see relationships on the same way as humans do and that's clear seeing how creatures like fairies don't seeing to care about the whole buyer/father/teacher/fiancee thing going on. In the end, Mahoyome may not be for everybody, but if you enjoy well developed universes, characters that are out of the same annoying stereotypes we see on at least half of the animes every season and a pacing that respects the plot and its needs, something more and more rare nowadays, so thisanime possible is for your tastes. Isn't generic, don't sugarcoat and isn't afraid to treat more deep themes. Trigger warning to torture is necessary btw.
But the main reason why I think you should give this anime a chance is that after a pretty long time something managed to capture the wonder and adventurous spitit that animes like Inuyasha or Card Captor Sakura did to me on my child days - on a time that anime is basically on a downfall being nothing less than a way to sell action figures of girls with balloon breasts, gives me hope be remembered why I started watching anime in the first place. And stuff like this is priceless.
