Review of Black Clover
Thought I'd do my first review on Black Clover. The plot of Black Clover is like if you mixed Naruto with My Hero, you have a young boy with no power in a world where powers are everything and dreams of becoming the greatest among his peers after being bullied he develops the ideals of "never giving up is my super power" until he suddenly gains a really strong power allowing him to join his peers on the rise to the top. Of course even though the plot is similar to Naruto and My Hero in some ways that does not make it bad in theslightest. The Fight scenes in black clover are pretty dynamic if that's the right word, they all take place in different unique settings like the dungeon, the middle of the city, the forest etc. Every new foe has different abilities, strengths and weaknesses, some take a single hit to take down and some take a few episodes. The fight scenes are all pretty great visually there are some times where the art drops off for a few minutes but even as someone who takes art style heavily into account I'm not really complaining. I loved some of the fight scenes featuring characters like Mereoleona, Yami, and Yuno just because of how their true strength isn't known until you see just how incredible they are
The main group of characters or "The Black Bulls" are all unique which contrasts with the other magic knights who's members are just dozens of hooded people with no character which makes some sense. The members of the black bulls all have powers that deviate between really powerful or mediocre, the characters go through many power ups through the seasons so by the end of the series they are some of if not the strongest characters which also makes sense.
some arcs are pretty long and forgettable at times but the overarching storyline is pretty straight forward. Character backstories are all unique don't seem too poorly thought out about how it reflects their character, especially some who have their backstory revealed really deep into the show.
The opening are never bad, you can listen to them by their selves and find all of them enjoyable. Black catcher was an opening that still makes my blood run cold by how good it is.
That's basically it, watch black clover it's really good. If you don't want to watch around 200 episodes just watch some of the beginning maybe until episode 10 then skip a few episodes you wont miss too much other than a few obscure characters unlike some anime's I think the show really peaked near the end.
