Review of A Place Further Than The Universe

A place further than the universe. At first I was hesitant with this anime, as I thought it would not be good. How wrong I was. While most CGDCT's are pretty nice, this one was the only one that sent a message. Cute Girls Doing Cute Things (The most memorable example that pops up is K-On, but while that one was tranquil and serene, this one had a lot of emotion. I entered for a comedy stayed for the emotion tension behind Shirase. Shirase's backstory is frankly quite depressing. The Story: The story is these 4 girls wanting to go to Antarctica. Shirase is the first one, inwhich she worked a lot to get money to try and go to Antarctica. The reason being she wants to reconcile with her mother who has died there. It is very sad.

Then she meets Mari in school whose backstory is that she wants to do something eventful.

She tried playing hooky at school one day but did not have the courage to do so. So she wanted to do something monumental.

Hinata worked at a grocery store that Mari was when Mari was raising money for tickets. Hinata had a sad backstory where her team abandoned her and spread gossip, bad one, of her.

Finally we get the movie star who made it all possible. Because Yuzuki was shooting a documentary the rest of the three got to go.

The four of them had an insane trip and it was quite hilarious.

The only drawback I have with this anime is that the first like 4-5 episodes were slow. They still led up to the Antarctica trip but yeah.

The animation: BEAUTIFUL. I do not know if they researched or not but the Aurora Borealis from the last episodes looked amazing, the antarctic nature looks so pristine and the glaciers were amazing.

Really a hats off to the animation team.

The OP was also quite amazing. The overall music was really great.

This anime really showed that I could do something in life. I was feeling quite down but man I just binged this entire anime in a single evening.
If those high school girls could survive Antarctica then what could i not do.

All in all 9/10 this was an amazing anime.
