Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari had the potential to be even better, but it was not consistent with the fire it had. I actually rate it a 7.5, but I gave it an 8 because I am not considering to watch the next season if it airs as I am happy with where they ended, and I have no further reason or interest what’s happening next. • Story 7 Good it is an isekai, getting trapped in a game like world [cliché], but it has a good story. The first 5 episodes were good and intriguing. the show gets a little draggy and loses the quality when it introduces characterslike Melty and Filo, to enhance the ‘harem and loliness’ throughout the series.
The overall story is good, but the drag in the middle episodes can make you drop the show.
the end parts [from ep 17] of the show again picked up again in story, focusing on the main story line, introduced some new concepts in the isekai genre [ at least to me].
•Art 6 Fair
art is nothing special, and the CGI used is unwatchable [the dinosaur cgi].
•Sound 8 Very Good
The ops and ends were one of the better things about the show, OSTs were also good.
•Character 7 Good
Naofumi [MC] is a good character, throughout the show his character is getting tested, he is not the cliché pervert MC we see in this kind of show.
Rapthalia actually has some character developments, she has a story arc which follows the 24 episodes.
but on the other hand those two are the only ones, rest of the cast is horrible.
the other heroes are literally trash through the all episodes, no matter what happens they are useless.
the B1TCH princess was actually good, she kept the interest in the show, getting me infuriated each episode.
•Enjoyment 7.5 pretty Good
Neglecting the boredom and lose of interest in the middle part of the series I enjoyed it, but I am not considering watching another season of it, for me this ending was good and I have no further interest in the show
•Overall 7.5
