'Call of the Night Mini' is the chibi special of Call of the Night. Like many chibi specials nowadays, it just seems like it's using an art style reminiscent of Macromedia Flash animation. Even K-On!'s chibi special, which didn't have a good budget, is way better than so many chibi specials nowadays. Anyway, it doesn't really add even an ounce to the story, nor does it reinforce the characterisation of our characters. Even though the run time is 1–2 minutes, having 22 episodes seems disproportionate to the 12 episodes of the main series. For now, my standard for a good chibi special in recent anime isthe chibi special for A Couple of Cuckoos. This one can be safely skipped.
