Review of Chainsaw Man

After hearing about this anime you'd think it was the Godfather of all anime in the making. The insane hype around this anime may have got you disappointed in the final result but still it is no question that this is one of the best anime to come out this season. The production value of MAPPA is obviously second to none. The time and effort that must have been put into this anime is insane. In Gigguk's review he showed how crazy well they made the animation, in so far as to make the walking look crazy good and smooth. But animation is something thatdoesn't make this anime special (because Demon Slayer exists). What sets this anime apart are the characters. This anime contains a very vibrant cast of characters each, you can tell, with potentially very interesting backstories. You can't wait to find out what's wrong with everyone and why each of them are so fucked up. Also another thing that I love about this anime is how it isn't afraid to indulge itself. Like how they showed Aki's morning routine. They didn't have to do that, and it certainly didn't add to the story, but it does show you what he does every day before starting his day, which adds to the overall depth of the character.

This anime is definitely no AOT, it doesn't have crazy production value like Demon Slayer but it's still great in it's own unique way. An easy 8 / 10 from me.
