A short review of this masterpiece. I don't get the negativity about the action scenes. OK, it's less over-the-top 3D than AOT or CSM but that suits the story a lot better. This is way more than just a shonen action anime for teenage boys. Yes, it has action, yes, it has blood and gore, yes, it's dark as hell and yes, it is very beautiful. I truly love the adult storyline, animation, the huge mix of Asian religions and just the overall atmosphere. Special note on the intro, the music and imagery is also top-notch, top 10 ever in my book.
