Review of Horimiya

This is one masterpiece. And, I mean it with all my heart. Of all the myriad anime shows I have seen, it was the one with not one boring episode, every newly introduced character was part of the story, and it is a great coming of age - slice of life - teen romance story throughout. I couldn't find any faults in HoriMiya. It is good at a "Notting Hill" level. The lead characters are extremely well designed. The families, the family members' relations with each other, real and fake dating, small details as how hard a character works shows in her worn-out and bookmarked coursebooks, everything is very well thought-out, very well planned, and very well executed. The animation, the dialogue, the music, they are all top notch. I find myself lucky to have watched HoriMiya and I fully, completely recommend it.
