Review of Shadows House

Man- this show really gave me something to think about. I haven't gotten around to reading the manga yet, but that's definitely on my to-do list now! Shadows House is a strange but not unwelcome blend of slice of life, horror, and mystery thriller. It's sense of general levity is always underlaid with something sinister, and it really draws you in. The concept is already strong- it's general enough to hold a basically infinite amount of possibilities. I will say that it falls off a bit towards the end, as it tries to cram in a hecc ton of plot and exposition that was built upthroughout the story, but it's a slight hindrance to an overall good story.

The characters are a bit gimmicky, but enjoyable enough, and their interactions are really fun to watch.

Overall, this is a really enjoyable show, highly recommend!
