Hitomi-chan wa Hitomishiri or Hitomi-chan Is Shy With Strangers, is a manga about a socially awkward big tiddy tomboy who has trouble talking to people, because she has anxiety and of course, because of the cliched 'I look too scary to make friends' trope. While the premise has been done to death in many other manga, Hitomi-chan has a certain charm of its own. The character design of the MC is pretty unique and likable. The overall art and other character designs are hit or miss most of the time though. It's just a good old slice of life-comedy in a school setting with each chapterfeaturing Hitomi interacting with a couple of friends she made that serve as our supporting cast. Only 15 chapters have been out so not a lot of characters have been introduced, but I have hopes that it maintains its charm. I will be updating the review as more developments occur.

If you like light-hearted manga like these, then just go for it. If you're looking for a story with an extended arc or something, it's not to be found here. This is just a simple, sweet manga, and should be enjoyed as such.
