7 /10

7.4/10 Japan loves making age gap mangas, and for the most part, they’ve been good, probably due to the fear of creating an absolute illegal monstrosity of a manga that no incompetent writer wants to undertake the task. That thought aside, in typical age gap romcom fashion, there are well-written characters stern in their mindset while also having a somewhat basic plot line with a few tweaks here and there. To an extent, the manga is relatively unique due to it relying on the classic misunderstandings of characters to drive the plot or create comedic elements; there’s also a somewhat sub but main plot of mystery, but it’s almost irrelevant to the actual intention of the writing.

There’s not much to say about the characters or the plot, since there’s not much lacking or needed besides for some more focused moments and development of the characters. However, the plot is packed with cute and wholesome moments instead of the usual main focus of drama and character development for better or worse.

Besides for being an age gap manga, there’s not much of a difference from this to the usual cute, wholesome, cringe romcom, which isn’t bad, but it’s also not something to strive for.
