Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

I wasn't too impressed with this story. At times, it seemed that it was going to get really dramatic. But it really wasn't anything special. Nothing really stood out; not the art, the characters, or the story. Also, the description for the story was pretty misleading - I thought it was going to be about a big time older woman who becomes entangled in a romantic love affair with a much younger man...not someone only a couple years younger than her. The two main characters have known each other since childhood - why not have it where the boy is a kid, and the girlis in her late teens? When I saw the chemistry between Serin Kim and Won Choi, I could tell that there were some problems. But they truly did seem that they wanted to be with each other. And it was sad that Serin's parents pretty much abandoned her. But it kind of felt like she was allowing what her parents did to her...affect her love or social life. And for Won, it is just typical for someone with a rich family trying to force him to marry someone a similar background, instead of actual love. And why was Serin constantly complaining about Won's immaturity and his problems, when she had her own problems that she hasn't even worked on. Sure, Won may not have completely changed after three years, but Serin hasn't changed either. And though that time Won has plainly shown that he only has eyes for her, but Serin just couldn't understand it.

It really would have helped the story if Serin and Won talked a lot more, and worked out their issues together. And Serin running away after buying a ring, and not listening to Won who wanted to explain the whole love confession misunderstanding, was just cowardly. Won's family should have left things alone. I mean, Serin may not come from a rich family, but she's smart and hardworking; that's how she became a Senior Vice President. In the end, Won and Serin ended up eloping...which didn't work, because it felt rushed. Well, at least they ended up together and the people in their lives finally accepted their love. I don't know if other people will like it, but I suppose they should at least give it a chance.

But as always...these are just my opinions.
