"A Lull in the Sea" is one of the best TV shows I've seen, in any format. As long as fantasy and love stories are to your liking, this is gonna be one unforgettable journey! In the form of a beautiful and awe inspiring flow of images and sounds, comes the story of a magical world inhabited by the people of the sea and the people of the land... and with them, differences, adolescent love, the complexity of possibilities, and even the potential end of the world. There's a lot to keep you genuinely engaged here! And some scenes (like the Sendings) are some ofthe most incredible I've seen in anime. Characters are lovable, even when sometimes it's a little hard to vouch for them. Although in the end, their faults make them feel authentic. You'll see a lot of people running (literally) from their feelings in this show and it can get a little annoying at times, but that's the idea, I think: We are all annoying, clumsy little kids when we feel the menace of something we can't completely control nor understand coming toward us. "A Lull in the Sea" is a wonderful gift to give to yourself and hopefully it will inspire you to love better, not only in the 'romantic' way, but in all ways existent.
