GUYS THIS IS REALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!Warning this may contain some minor spoilers. First of all I have to admit that the writer was fully aware of parasites. Indeed parasites are much more developed than bacteria, viruses etc. In fact they use us as hosts and can do incredible things. One parasite (i don't remember the name now, anyway) causes the host to eat sand (yeah indeed!!!) so that more parasites of his kind will accommodate the host. Some parasites do not appear in the circulation of the host in the morning and appear in the circulation in the night when the host most likely is sleeping( as a defence mechanism) that's why doctors must know precisely the time of the appearance of the parasite, in order to detect them in blood samples. Apart from that there is a neurological syndrome called alien hand, in which your right hand is not under your control and you don't understand it when it is moving. Maybe the writer was inspired by these two facts. Anyway let's get to the plot. The plot is really amazing cause they paid attention even to the slightest details. For example when the parasite tried to enter the protagonist's hand at first it tried to move forward subcutaneously and when there was something on the way (the earings with which the protagonist tied his hand) it tried to move throught the blood flow. However the earings were tied so tight that also the blood flow was cut and the parasite couldn't move forward in order to take over the brain. Therefore it was stuck in his hand. Apart from that the plot is really deep. An example: How can you be sure that the way you feel is genetically determined? For example how can you be so sure that when you were 5 years old, your parents were lovey doveys, so this was a very strong stimulus that made you subconsciously imitate this way of behaving and as a result you are very romantic? It is a major issue between psychosociologists whether the way we feel is genetically determined or it is affected by our environment. That's why a parasite, although at first was genetically programmed to have no feelings at all, in the end gained some maternal feelings! And how can you be so sure that maternal love and maternal sacrifice isn't just a genetic programmed feeling in order to maintain our species? But above all the story unravels the human nature. It shows that in fact we are a species that are the ultimate predators. We have developed compassion for other humans as a way to prioritize human life and multiply our species.Guys it really worths watching!
