*SPOILER ALERT!* Gee i wonder, if a certain someone had stopped pestering me to watch this anime I wouldn't watch it in the first place cos of the ratings. But you know how MaL is like. Murican website means that the users may have different taste than Asian users(just an example). But, after watching it, I feel that it is a little bit underrated, cos Murican anime website. BGHS is similar to Toji no Miko and I will base this review, to a certain extent, to Toji no Miko as a comparison. So, leggo start! Story: Like I said, I'll base BGHS to Toji no Miko toa certain extent because I find them to be similar in the story. Both revolve around so called "alien creatures" with Toji no Miko being Aradama and BGHS being Irous, with a bunch of girls trying to save the world from these creatures, albeit with BGHS having a much larger character cast(will talk more abt that later). With BGHS, the story is much more straightforward than Toji no Miko, with no politics or 3 bosses being split up and 1 trying to devour the rest, which is something that I don't exactly like with Toji no Miko. With BGHS you got the main character Miki with her friends trying to wipe out Irous with the help of Misaki, a girl who comes from another dimension after her world fell. At first Misaki was quite aloof and unfriendly(cos you know she gotta get used to the new environment), but after awhile she became much more friendly to the Miki and her friends. In the end they had to fight Misaki's sister and friends cos they got idk influenced by dark power since their world fell but.... in the end Miki, Misaki and her friends won so yay happy ending. I would think that the story is the best scoring category.

Animation: The animation is quite good, especially the special effects

Sound/Music: Pretty ok opening/ending but I'm not that fond of them. Battle sounds/ost is good.
Rating: 7.5/10

Characters: Probably the worst scoring category in the review, simply bcos of the enormous cast, I mean, friggin heck more than 20 characters in the anime. Plus, being a 12 episode anime, there's basically no time for character development other than the 2 main characters Miki and Misaki. In addition, having such a large cast meant that I can't remember the names of the majority of the characters, either that or I mix them up bcos the characters have the same hair color or hair-style. Hence, I'm giving the characters a pretty low score.

In conclusion, BGHS is basically a Toji no Miko, cept more straightforward but having little to no character development. Would I recommend this anime? If you don't mind the lack of character development, then this anime is pretty ok cos the story is quite good.
