Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen I like Demon Slayer, I really do. And mostly thanks to what Ufotable has done with this manga. The animations, the dynamics and atmosphere. All of this makes the anime an art form that you practically just soak up. And at the same time, this is a very critical contrast for my taste. On the one hand, I adore this anime and could watch this season a second time right now. Yet, simultaneously, these flaws and problems are hurting me more and more. It is at once one of my favorite shounen and one of the worst shounen I have seen. Demon Slayermanga only had a half baked story that was immensely linear until the end. The only thing that really did the manga good was the fortunately existing choreography and the backgrounds and deaths of certain characters, which resulted in very nice dramatic scenes. But that was it.
From the writing style, the dialogues to the characters and fights, everything is below average.

[Story 2]

This time it is an Upper Moon who hides in a red light district and feeds on the people there. But what is the story behind it? Nothing.
He hides, they fight and win. This is the entire plot of this season, let alone entire series, as Muzan does the same thing.

Muzan asks Akaza to kill all the Demon Slayers?`Has Muzan forgotten that in 1000 years he hasn't managed to get rid of his pursuers? For being so arrogant, he is very bad at defeating his opponents. As a strategist, Muzan is absolutely useless, well, he was also a musician in his last life. And then he has nothing better to do than to lose his elite one by one without taking precautions before the sides become equal.

Also in this season you saw again how unbalanced everything is. The concept of breathing and strength was strange from the beginning. But that Tanjirou can be beaten through several houses without dying is shocking. The damage he suffers is far beyond human. But at the same time he is hurt by a normal person in the film and can hardly move? Inosuke moves his heart to avoid an attack? To do so, he would have to have relocated it almost to the speed of sound.

From start to finish, absolutely nothing has happened in this season, except for one of the strangest fights you can find with some of the most unnecessary dialogue ever.

[Characters 3]

I actually like most of the characters and even Zenitsu. But they are all empty. Insosuke and Zenitsu are 2 running running gags, with Inosuke being successful with them.

Tanjirou is in my eyes one of the best Shounen protagonists you can find and has a very first class and rational logic regarding many situations and moments. And especially, he is not a hypocrite or gives you a pseudo-sermon about the heart or love. Instead, he gets to the point, wants to put his opponent and as soon as he is convinced that he is an enemy, he strikes mercilessly.

The final scene before the death of Upper 6 alone was impressive. The logic behind Tanjirou's words was flawless and fascinating. No one will forgive a murderous pair of siblings. But in the end they have only themselves and at least this is what they should keep in their demise. This neutral kind of mercilessness and at the same time respectful treatment and grace of Tanjirou, make him so fascinating.

Most of the other characters are also just empty shells with comedy potential. Daki is a steam boiler. Gyotarou was a broken recorder who kept saying the same thing. Her background was sad, but that was it.
Fun fact for Genshin Impact players, yes, that was the VA of Raiden Mei and Benett.

[Animations 9]

The animations were mostly stunning and shocked me. Except in the fight between Daki and Tanjirou. Iit was relatively bumpy and the drawings slipped sharply. The quality of these 2 episodes fluctuated greatly.
However, this has been greatly balanced over the last 3 episodes with some of the best visual clashes in the Shounen scene.

The intro and outro have also been visually artful.

[Music 9]

I liked the outro even more than the intro, because of the detailed and beautiful presentation.

The Osts remained at the same level as their predecessor.

[Conclusion]

Demon Slayer is an absolute must for any Shounen fan looking for fights, emotions and explosions. But for anyone who likes character depth or story, he will not find what he is looking for here, all the opposite.

Nevertheless, I am looking forward to seeing the following seasons and hope to live long enough to experience the finale of Demon Slayer in anime format.

[Enjoyment 9]
