Review of Fena: Pirate Princess

Fena: Pirate Princess is bad. Most importantly, Fena is not a pirate, and only tenuously a princess. I say tenuously because most things in the show are paper-thin, including any attempts at providing Fena a meaningful backstory. Halfway through the show, the characters' camaraderie is as if it were a 24-episode affair, but the moment-to-moment pace makes it feel like it was storyboarded for a 6-episode OVA. The animation has a lot of effort put into it, but is incredibly sterile. The 3-minute long denouement was good, but slogging through the other 285 minutes wasn't worth it. I do Not Recommend.
