Review of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2

It has become increasingly apparent how poorly written the characters are, even for a parody. At least , the entire Shadow Garden. An entourage of women with fat tits and a bland personality , which isn't a problem until they take more than half the screentime. Moreover , an entire waterpark episode solely for fanservice, and without the only character that makes this show watchable. John Smith arc could have also been better without the Delta fanservice. Come on , I like fat tits. But its pointlessness is detracting from the overall quality. Comedy did not hit as hard as season 1. Too many repeated gagsand a few things ruined the experience. The biggest issue for me is the fact that Cid's lobotomized best friends were saved , should have just killed them off. It would be good if their stupidity was amusing, but most of it was irritating. Shadow repeating the same line was funny until about the 10th time , made me want to rip my eyeballs out. Still many good jokes. Voice acting performances for Cid are hilarious. Love that he had two voice actors just for better executed lines. Also bunch of subtle jokes that will make you go, "I see what you did there". But the only solid entertainment value I got was from people reacting to this , praising it for being a parody , then watching the jokes being misinterpreted or fly over their head.

Action was alright , season 1 did it better though.

Would have given it a 5/10 but the last episode was pretty good , sold it for me. Got me interested in the sequel.
