Review of Fairy Tail

This is my first review so bear with me, haha. I'll definitely get better at writing these. Okay, Fairy Tail is an anime that i have loved ever since the beginning of watching it. This statement may not reflect the overall score I have given the adaptation. The anime starts off great as watchers are introduced to main characters Natsu, Lucy, and Happy. As the show continues, more amazing characters were introduced and i was instantly drawn to them. I feel that even though the love for these characters stays strong throughout the whole anime/manga, i have noticed some character underdevelopment. This review is from 2021,and as of recently in the ongoing manga, we are just starting to see potentially the biggest development from one of the characters. This is definitely a bit frustrating for fans of the show, seeing main characters and side characters have all these amazing skills and not utilizing them as much.

Regrading the plot, it is almost like "friendship beats all", but not done in a bad way, in my opinion. There are plenty of different storylines within the anime and it's never the same battle. Each battle is exciting in it's own way, but definitely a little short and almost repetitive at times. On a good note, there are so many moments within the anime that will make you happy, excited, and even cry at times. The interactions between characters are done very well and it is very apparent of how each member cares for one another.

I know that each story has it's own main characters but i would have loved to see the other characters within the fairy tail guild joining more of the battles. We really only get to see other characters fighting in MAYBE 2 arks, but it's very minimal.

Anways, take this review with a grain of salt and don't be discouraged with the overall rating I have given it. I would say Fairy Tail is definitely worth trying out, and if you end up not liking it then thats okay. Truly, you may end up loving it as much as I do.
