This movie is brilliant. It develops beautifully and genuinely from the series. The story is ridiculously complex and ridiculously well-executed. It is rather long for an animated film (second longest? [insert reference that's not Wikipedia here]). It spends a long part of the movie driving home its themes and atmosphere while staying plot-driven for most of the movie. That is; it has an important plot to deliver, but it sure is going to take its sweet time doing so. The movie is a resolution of the story being told, though not from the perspective that would be most obvious. It does everything the show did, just better and more effectively. It uses the premise and characters developed so extensively in the series to perfectly to develop its own story while altogether further developing the characters. It's truly a sight to behold. From beginning to end, it's simply well done. I feel like I'm starting to get redundant here. I would love to talk about its metaphilosophical approach to storytelling or its transcendental form of character development, but I don't have the words to do so. To me, this movie is beyond words, quite literally.
