Review of Sword Art Online

The premise itself was not horrible, and the inkling of a decent show was under the surface at the beginning. However, only a few episodes in, and it became apparent that the protagonist was only ever going to one-dimensional and conceited. The stakes were pretty much nonexistent as Kirito was declared brokenly powerful outright. One might think there would be some insight into VR, MMOs, or futuristic predictions, but that wasn't the case. It was not very thought provoking, and it far outstayed its welcome. In short, there were some interesting ideas that never got realized and what was there was poorly executed.
