Review of Akira

What is there to say about Akira that hasn't been said already? Aesthetically the movie is absolutely beautiful. The hand-drawn animation is incredibly impressive and the sound designers did wonders on the soundtrack and effects. The movie itself is a bit drug out in my opinion, making the movie unnecessarily long, but because of all the other factors you really won't mind. This is not something I would show to a new anime watcher, but for the experienced eye, this movie will stand out as an all time great. If you have not seen it, it is a definite must for sure.
