Review of Bakemonogatari

Bakemonogatari is unique. Of course, one could say that many Animes are unique in their own way, but i dare to say that Bakemonogatari is on its own level, even among already unique Animes. A supernatural story, surrounded with amazingly detailed individual characters, a fitting artwork and a cool soundtrack. That would be Bakemonogatari in one sentence. The protagonist Araragi Koyomi encounters several girls with...unique problems. He himself also encountered such problems in the past, and his personality of helping everyone is getting him acquainted with said girls. The specialist when it comes to supernatural beeings, Oshino Meme, helped Araragi in the past and leads him to the solutionof the occuring problems. But some of them aren't easily solved.

A weird love story; A deep and dark manga; An action story; A fanservice work...
Bakemonogatari has all of this, but i daresay that it's not in a way one would expect from any review.

It is simply unique and has yet to find works who rival its conversational proficiency.

For anyone who is looking for something "new", Bakemonogatari is more than worth a try.
