Review of A Certain Magical Index

The anime honestly had a lot of potential as a sci-fi + magical show, sadly it was a total mess. The Introduction didn't give much interest, basically just gave op/non-op mc fighting op side character to show strength and such. There were arcs that were actually enjoyable like Deep Blood and Angel Fall, I give them points for that. As a sci-fi show they give too much information for a non sci-fi fan to handle. Basically they want to make you like the show, and go in-depth about it. The show fails to do this the right way resulting in boredom. Comedic value is alsoinsufficient making it just a boring action packed show.

About other things, the opening and ending sequences of the show is pretty good. It really gives you the sci-fi vibe that it wants to accomplish. Individual characters are pretty ok problem is they don't have much backstory in them. Making them just characters you can't connect through (they might give some in the other sequels tho if so then i give them points for those).

Conclusion, made a decent show if you're trying to watch sci-fi films or if you just love the genre. I can't say much since this review is literally made 11 years after the show's making. You may have read a review that goes more in-depth than mine. Anyways if you made it this far Thanks!
