Review of High School DxD

I've tried to avoid important spoilers, 2nd review so won't be perfect "Breastacles!" - Issei Hyoudou. It's been a while since I watched this series, but that one word still cracks me up. And, looking back that describes the most important themes: ecchi, monsters and crude hilarity. Using an established plot of: MC has special power, power gets stronger, OP enemy introduced, fight. But this is used in the best possible way without the MC saving everyone all the time and every girl loving for it. Issei is, to this day, one of my favourite characters ever. this is greatly supported by his 'unique' ideology: "Boobs weigh heavier thanone's life" - Issei Hyoudou
This honest and amusing way of life leads to quite a lot of brilliant moments, be them whole situations or ingenious one liners.
In addition to the MC, the other characters have ranging realistic personalities, from the sadist, to the innocent one, to the hateful loli making for a brilliant not-quite-a-harem.
I would say this is a must see for every ecchi fan *cough* perv *cough*, and recommend it to anyone else. ANYONE. Really. WATCH IT.
