Pico to Chico · review
Boku to Chico is the best episode of the series. Obviously you get told to watch Boku no Pico and you comply for the sake of memes or conversation, but not because you're actually interested. That's how it was for me at least, but let me tell you that this is the most interesting episode in that respect. In Boku no Pico you have some adult and kid getting it on, but the entire episode raises so many more questions than answers. Is this legal? How do they feel about the age difference? Why is Pico okay with this? The only interesting plot is that Picocould be mistaken for a trap, but most people that know what Boku no Pico is already know that Pico is a boy.
Boku to Chico is the complete opposite in which you actually see the transformation of one boy into whatever the hell you'd call Pico. Chico is just some innocent kid, but Pico teaches him all about how to play with each other's bodies until he has completely lost that initial innocence. It's an episode about wonder and awe, exploration and discovery. And because this is something that actually does happen between kids sometimes, believe it or not, it's easier to suspend your disbelief while watching the madness unfold.
I honestly believe that watching this explains Boku no Pico to some extent. Out of the three iconic episodes, this is the one you'll take the most out of.
By the time you're done watching, the only question you'll have on your mind is "Why?"
