I don't know how to explain this but I just love this series. As a matter of fact, I am writing this review after rewatching it. Last time when I completed this show was about 1.5 years back but by then I didn't register myself on MAL, so I though why not write the review this time around. Back when I first watched the show, I liked this show very much. The concept was very interesting. I thought this show to be somewhat similar to "Ready Player One"-the VRMMO based movie that I watched just few days before starting this show. As a matter of fact, Icame to know about this series when I was reading a review on the movie.

Thank God this show was very different from the movie since I didn't like that movie much. This show has a perfect combination of emotions, action, adventure & thrill. The best part of the show was its pace (Frankly I don't like slow paced shows so I haven't seen the big names of long running shows, exception being Naruto+Shippuden).

Animations were very beautiful as one can expect from A1 Studios though real world scenes in this season could be brighter like the in-game visuals, still no complaints either.

The characters were very well designed. Frankly speaking, I like characters like Kirito who find them weak but definitely are full of emotions & will power.

Though after rewatching I find some reasons why many don't like this series: Fast pace of story, Kinda pathetic MC, some plot holes, dull real world animations & romance.

Since I enjoyed the show so much that I rewatched it which happens to very few shows. Till now, I only find 12 Kingdoms, Clannad AfterStory & Your Lie in April worth re-watching along with this seasom of SAO.

NOTE: For those who are planning to watch this series than go ahead and binge watch it. Its worth it. Recommended order: SAO season 1>> SAO Extra Edition>> SAO Ordinal Scale>>SAO Season 2>> SAO Alicization. Alternate Gun Gale Online has nothing to do with the series, still if you are planning to watch, then go just after SAO Season 2. ALTERNATE GGO is liked by many even by those who don't like main story due to Kirito & Asuna.
