Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion what can you say. Ordinary with a complete loss of flow and plot in the last 3 episodes. I have never seen an Anime go off course so wildly before. Not since the TV series LOST has a Televised program of any kind ended so idiotically. Everything is moving along at a reasonable pace the story is making sense and then WHAM ! It loses it's mind. Everything important is left hanging and open. Who is Rei really and what makes the bond between her and Gendo so strong, I have my opinions but we'll never know due to the ridiculous way the series ends. It'slike the writer was nearing the end of the story and gave up !
The animation is Ok for it's day, 1995 I think. The sound is so so.
With a proper ending this might have gotten a 6 or 7 but a 3 is the best I can give it.
