Review of School Days

Dear Reader, First, let me be perfectly clear: YOU WATCH THIS SHOW FOR THE ENDING. Odds are you already know what it is, but on the off chance you're the first one to watch this show going in blind. Here's my review... There have not been many Anime series that have inspired such polarizing reactions and controversy as "School Days" The series is a typical high school melodrama involving various teenage soap opera angles. It's pretty basic in that regard. And in that regard, it does fine. If you like a nice juicy slice of angst. But, very quickly this show goes off it's hinges leaning towards theharem genre and finally comes to an ending so shocking it is either this show's greatest achievement or it's greatest failure and is probably more famous than the show itself.

The animation is up to par, the characters are really nothing special but remarkable for how awful their actions are. The dialogue is clumsy and somewhat forced. Sub vs. Dub doesn't apply because their are only subtitles available and there will probably NEVER be an English dub (but part of me secretly hopes there will be one day)

This show fits into the so bad it's good category, big time. The only remotely redeeming factor about this show is it's ending. But, that aside, we have a trashy melodrama. Enjoy the junk food. And welcome to the club. Cheers!
