Review of Gintama

Boy I wish I could write a review for every single Gintama installment but that's a lot...so I'm going to stick to only this one.I can't give justice to this show with just one review but I will try my best. So,basically this anime has one feature that really catches my attention and that is it's humour.I mean I have literally never laughed that hard in my life(during certain eps).I know some of you might be thinking "Oh so it's only comedy and doesn't have any solid story".You couldn't be further away from the truth.Yes I do agree that the start was kind of slow buttrust me if you keep watching it's totally worth it.
The way this anime switches from comedy to serious is mind boggling.When I started i thought this was going to be only comedy but damn.....that story was so gripping.The animations for the 2006 season were old(and it had a 4:3 aspect ratio) but that didn't seem to hinder the plot,humour or any other key points of the anime.(the animations get better later and become really crisp)
And the characters are so relatable,You feel their enjoyment,sorrow,etc.(The protagonist Sakata Gintoki is one of my favorites of all time because he's really a one of a kind).The best part of this anime is that the filler episodes are so great that there is literally no need to skip it(I mean you can if you want because they don't directly relate to the story but it's better if you don't).If you are in only for the story that's completely fine but according to me the comedy made this anime what it is.
Basically don't judge this anime for it's starting episodes and just keep watching,I promise you won't regret it.(THIS ISN'T EVEN THE BEST SEASON!)This will always be one of the best shows I have ever watched and I can't wait to see how they end this story and what happens to The Yorozuya.
