Review of Tsukigakirei

I don't know how to say this but there is something about this anime that captivates people. Tsuki ga Kirei is another show that attempts at being a good slice of life, school, romance anime, but its different from all others. It was produced in a year that saw AoT season 2, and Food Wars The Third Plate, and to me after seeing both of those aforementioned shows stood above them. Story: For me the story gets a 10, Feel put a spin on the traditional romance anime, and this masterpiece is what resulted. The only real problem I have is what drove the two maincharacters to liking each other in the first place. This is the one thing that isn't addressed that I wished was. Other than that there are 12 episodes of true heart capturing anime.

Art: To me the art style took a while to get use to, this was mainly due to me watching a lot of anime that are animated in the sort of style that Haikyuu or Run with the Wind is. And at times Tsuki ga Kirei animation felt jarring, and rather clunky, to the point that the movements that were animated seemed odd. But overall I would have to give the art style a 9 because after you get use to it, the art style perfectly symbolizes the tone of the show.

Sound: Pretty much I am a sucker for a anime that has a really good OST, and the way the sound moved the story worked wonders. The melodic rhythms helped immerse me more and more into the anime. This is why it receives a 10 for sound.

Character: I like to lump character and story together on my reviews, but for this one I didn't. This is mainly because while the characters that are most important to the story are developed well. the side cast seem to just be there to fit roles, and there really isn't enough background about them. And of course the show never fully explains why the two main characters are drown to each other. Hence why character got a 9 and story got a 10.

Enjoyment: I finished this in a day, if that doesn't speak about how much I enjoyed the anime I don't know what will. From the first episode to the last episode the sweet rhymes of the music, and the beautiful innocence of the story ensnared me in the anime. Hence why enjoyment gets a 10 from me.

Overall: Overall I give it a 10. I try to only give anime that are a 10 that I feel are groundbreaking, or that strike a nerve with me. This one did that, it brought a new variation of the romance in a school setting. Overall I would recommend this to anyone that likes the Slice of Life Genre, this show will ensnare you in its heart throbbing plot line and leave you wanting for more.
