Review of A Place Further Than The Universe

The idea of 4 high school girls going to Antarctica sounds silly. Like who sits down and goes, I'll write a anime about 4 girls going to Antarctica and hopefully this somehow will work out? On paper, this sounds like something that will never ever work... but somehow... this was freaking amazing! It's not so much about the destination, but the journey itself. As we learn to grow with them in their friendship, see their life... share in their laughter... and cry along with them. We learn to love these 4 girls, who are all 4 best girls, not gonna say which one is best,because I think they all supported each other perfectly. Anyways off topic there... if you want a anime that really tells a story of friendship, this was a great one. I hate the typical friendship story like we get in other anime... where some reason the power of friendship can overcome all things without any sort of explanation. This has friendship, but it's not friendship alone that help them get to their goal, it was them each learning to grow together.

This anime inspired me, I have not seen anime that really has inspired me this much. Where you don't want to be stuck in one place and do the same thing over and over again. After watching this, I left my job that I've been working at after 9 years, said good bye to a lot of friends and decided I will go back to school and finish school. It encourage me not to be scared of the unknown, just because we don't know what's ahead doesn't mean we should just stay still and hopefully something comes our way, we will never move at all. This anime teaches us we must take that first step to get closer to our goal and as simple as that is... sometimes we need that reminder that we know but we ignore until someone else reminds us. And this was that whisper or push I needed...

This to me is a masterpiece, though to everyone else, how they see it, it's up to them, but this to me personally truly inspired me to make changes in my life. Not to live the ordinary life I got so comfortable with. Wish me luck as I head forward into the unknown, to a place farther than where I am now.
