Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero

It start off, quickly establishing the goal of Naofumi. That is to redeem himself and prove his innocence. When that plotpoint starts to become irrelevant the series suffers and all we can ride on is our desire to see Naofumi succed. The other heroes are suggested to have character development. But that stops very quickly arround 3/4 of the way through the story making them non-dynamic characthers. It's a mediocre story driven by a few gold nuggets and a good maincast to keep it going. I would not recommend this series as a must se but a filler series for when there is nothing else thatyou want to watch,nontheless I am excited for the prospect of a second season since I believe the concept has more it can give and I want to see the future of Naofumi's story going forwards.
