I wanted to find an anime that was equally as cute as School Babysitters and I lowkey think I've found something so much cuter. Miira no Kaikata did not disappoint. Within the first few minutes of the first episode, I knew I'd like it. The MC for one is super easy to like. He's average in many ways, but I enjoy have a "normal" MC. He was open about his thoughts, aside from when it concerned his best friend, was observant, patient and funny. He was well put together and a stable narrative throughout, which I appreciated a lot to balance out everything else inthe anime.

The other characters are fine. Tazuki is probably my favourite, with Sora not far behind. Tazuki is your typical tsundere, except he's quite protective of Sora which I love. And he's done in the right way. Although the others have a lot of air time, I don't see the point in mentioning them, they're likable, that's all that matters.

Okay, the story was surprisingly smooth sailing. I know it was only 12 episodes, but I thought I'd eventually get bored of an unproblematic plot, but nope. Just like School Babysitters, the cuteness carried it. Each episode there was something to look forward to, whether it was the creatures or a new character to be introduced.

And saved best for last, is all the little creatures that each character has. Mii especially is adorable, my GOD. I didn't think a creature that wouldn't be able to do anything but bark could be that cute, but I was wrong. I love the relationship between him and Sora. Then Conny and Tazuki have the funniest relationship. They even have their own little character development which was super heartwarming. Everyone else and their creatures are essentially made for each other, they had so much screen time I couldn't help but enjoy every single episode.

All the creatures have their own distinct personalities. They're adorable. Had interesting relationships with each other, both the other creatures and their owners. AHHH just so cute.

I enjoyed every episode and wish there was more. There's nothing like being able to watch a show all relaxed. No crazy plot, no complicated characters. You grow to love everyone as more episodes go by and by the end of it, you wish there was more. I hope I can find another anime that sits on the same level as Miira no Kaikata and School Babysitters. These lowkey chill, comfort animes have my heart. Easy 8/10.
