Parasyte was very good, I can probably relate it to Tokyo Ghoul but I felt this was much better. Much better in the sense that though similar in context but highly different in stimulation. To put in I’m simpler terms, Parasyte is like Tokyo Ghoul in the sense that yes, the MC is half-human half-parasyte and that these parasytes eat and ‘possess’ humans similar to Ghouls that feed on humans. The parasytes too can feed on other nutrients but prefer humans as food similar to ghouls. The MC of Parasyte is a beast, he kills the enemy parasytes like a beast and faces off with tough opponents because ofthe new ‘power’ he developed.

BUT.

Parasyte has certain aspects that are different... There are parasytes that have the sole instinct to survive and will do anything in their power to Ensure survival, including killing their kind if they felt threatened.

There are also those that are highly intelligent, they want to know about humans and want to find out their “purpose” that is what captivated me about this anime, because of that MAJOR PLOT TWIST at the last few episodes, my perspective of the anime being a generic story of man eating monsters and an OP MC has changed.

One of the parasyte(not the MC) developed human emotions contrary to the whole ‘Parasyte beliefs’

Therefore it is definitely worth spending your time on.
