Review of My First Girlfriend is a Gal

*If you focus mainly on the story plot and you are looking for art that has literary value, this anime is a waste of time for you.* STORY It has story with no interesting plots. It's dull, full of cliches, nothing more to talk about here. As the charecter development goes, there is almost none. Our MC figures out that girls are not just objects. That's it. I liked some ideas and motives, like begging at the begining. Show had a potential, but the writer had to fill in the cliches(whole beach episode, unnecessary falls, awkward positioning, MC's hunger for sexual acivity). Someone would say "yea, but thosemotives have to be in harem/ecchi genere". No they don't need to be, and I don't care what genere an art is. If i like it I like it because it's good, it has no cliches, leaves you thinking with new point of view or even changes your life principles, questiones your's/other's values etc. This story has same literary value as series Friends, that is none.

Comedic side is sometimes very good. I found myself laughing 5-6 times per episode or even more. The first and the last two episodes were the best on that aspect.

SPEECH
I liked dubbed version very much because of its hard usage of slang and accent(valley girls, arizona farmers :p). In comparison to manga, it's way better. The department who dubbed the anime has done a very good job making dull, badly composed conversations to funny and full of emotion dialogs. So if you must watch this show, watch dubbed. Guarante it's better.

WHAT WOULD I CHANGE
I would cut out big chunck of the show, and make character development a thing. Slow conversations of two teenagers thinking and talking about life, getting to know each other, reveal their feelings, kiss and not make a big deal out of it. I would make figures likable, act more realistc, cut out the unrealistic scenarios(or maybe even do a satire of those repeating plots). Ofcourse the harem is there only to fill those 10 episodes. It could have been easily removed. Then you have a show with a potential.

SPOLIERS - EXAMPLE OF A CONVERSATION

YUKANA:Why do you even like me?
MC: ... your so kind to everyone ...
MC: What about you, what do you like about me anyway?
YUKANA:I would tell you, but then I would have to kill you!

Not funny, not creative and this is the "deepest" conversation between our mains. I bet she wanted to tell him that he is 1 dimensional, without any depth, only sexualy motivated, boring af ...
