Review of ReLIFE

Well, I first heard of this show while I was searching for shows to watch. Around that time this show was announced, with the manga going on and the anime coming out 2 months later after I heard of this series. The thing that attracted me to ReLIFE was the title itself! I don't know why but a show with such a title seemed waaaayyyy too appealing. I watch anime cause I'm too lazy to read manga. Black and White and more over reading fandubs on PC irritated my eyes. So I decided to wait for the anime. This show has 13 episodes and I knew thestory until ep 8. Soooo unfortunately my enjoyment was kinda limited though I must admit- ReLIFE is better animated than on manga. Of course that's my opinion.

Let's get to my review
ReLIFE at the Date of Release had not more than 110 chapters to adapt. So this show ends after adapting around 100 chapters.
TBH if you have read the manga and follow it like a freaking sidekick then this show is not for you. I was able to enjoy this show because I dropped the manga 1 and a half months before this anime's release.

ReLIFE follows this energetic protagonist- Arata Kaizaki or if you prefer the Japanese way of saying it- Kaizaki Arata. Arata is out of college and got a job when he resigned 3 months later cause things weren't working out for him in that company. Why? I won't spoil it. Check it out for yourself. It'll definitely make you mad. Seriously! It's too unjust.
So his after-3-months-resignation, many companies were hesitant to hire him. He got a part time job at a convenience store and struggles to make ends meet.
Enter Ryo Yoake or rather- Yoake Ryo, an employee from the ReLIFE organisation. He meets Arata around midnight and gave him the ReLIFE pill and outlined the whole ReLIFE process to Arata. Arata originally sceptical ends up swallowing the pill cause he was high on booze. The pill worked! No surprise there!!
This story would highlight his 1 year high school story which acts as a restart button to completely change his life!!

The Characters are really relatable. These characters you'd find in almost any school. well, in any anime high school. But their personalities are too eccentric and enjoyable!!!
The MC is a new breed of MC! not this crying bitch but someone who's helpful and head strong.
All the secondary characters are also really well made!!! None of them hold the story back. Each character plays an important role in the story, which makes me wonder- are they actually secondary characters??
Each character is given sufficient screen time to get to know them better.

In terms of music, I never pay attention to who produced the music. But the background tracks actually match the on-screen tension. The Opening song has a really good buildup and really catchy. Starts with a slow keyboard and then guitar and finally some good ol' "BA-DUM-TSS!!"
The Opening son's name is Button while the artist is some "Penguin". Sorry for not remembering the band's name but you could always youtube it! Basically, AWESOME SOUNDTRACK!!!! I can't say for the endings though cause I never watch them.

Art is well made, Don't expect something flashy! It's your standard Slice of Life anime. The art style is really fun tho!! Especially Hishiro's smile XD !!!!!

ReLIFE is a really enjoyable anime that teaches a great lesson. Instead of the traditional messages like-
"FRIENDSHIP!!!"
or
"NEVER GIVE UP ON DREAMS!!"
or
well, I hope you get it

This show instead provides a different message- you have one life that is waaayyy too short! Give equal importance to studies but never get stressed out! Enjoy your school life! These years will never come back to you. You'll anyway have your fair share of stress when you reach adulthood...

Like Arata said "Enjoy this final year! Go have fun! Fall in love! Create more and more friends!!!'

I give this show a 9/10.
