8.0/10 “One more chapter before I go to bed… okay, another one…” For the life of me, I sincerely thought this manga would’ve been yet another baseless and plotless wholesome romance manga; however, once I started, I really couldn’t stop unless I had an urgent matter to attend to. The manga follows the classic “prince-charming saves and comforts broken girl” trope; I’ve found this kind of plot line to be corny and cringy due to the character actions being nonsensical and the plot being rushed, however, this does not do that. Though there are quite a few idiotic plot devices this manga employs, causing it tobe somewhat anticlimactic and corny, they were used to make the character developments or interactions all the more better. An issue with most wholesome mangas is that there’s no real motive or resolution in sight, but this manga isn’t only a tablespoon of sweetness, but also has a slow-paced and subtle plot and character developments, not solely relying on its first premise.
Overall, this manga balances out plot with cuteness, one better than the other, making it quite the satisfying and fulfilling read with some underrated comedy.
