MC Eizo's situation is pretty well summarized on this page so I'm going to skip over that. There’s a sub-genre of isekai and fantasy where adventuring is not the main theme but instead it’s all about professions: making, producing, constructing things. This is one of my favorites from the profession isekai genre. It is based on a LN (originally a web novel at Kakuyomu and Narou) but I really like the art in the manga. An important aspect of this type of isekai is that the “professional” scene has to have authenticity. Tamamaru , the author of the LN has knowledge or at the veryleast researched blacksmithing and swordsmithing. I could not find out too much about the author but the knowedge imparted are real. You can probably pick up enough from watching swordsmithing YouTube videos, but they ring true. In a later volume (5?) there is a scene explaining aspects of Japanese swordsmithing. I did some research and all of those are also accurate. It's not enough that the content be true to life, it must also be drawn well in the manga. The manga-ka Yoshino Himori also did a fair amount of research as told in the extra pages of the manga volumes. It’s one of the reasons I really like this manga.
As for the story content, what do you expect? It's a slow life manga. And yes, cute girls abound. The beast girl is Samya. She's certainly expressive and when the manga does her chibi form, it's adorable. My favorite is the dwarf girl Rike, who becomes MC Eizo's apprentice. She's sometime the audience stand in when Eizo is trying and failing to explain to her about smithing. He can do it because of his cheat skills but Rike has to learn by watching. Then there is Diana, the young noble who MC Eizo ends up protecting from her family troubles.
Now MC Eizo was a middle aged man when he died. In his new life, he's about 30, but he still carries that mentality of an older person. So he treats all of them as family instead of love interests. It's similar to how Beryl treats his former students in From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman. Which is so much better than just gaining an instant harem just because isekai.
If you want an isekai where a teenager gains cheat powers to fight the demon lord, then My Quiet Blacksmith Life in Another World is not for you. If, OTOH, you want something more slow paced and crafting is front and center, then give this a try.
