seeing as there is no review on this I will have to be the first to add one! this manga is honestly such a treat and a hidden gem. art - 10/10 the art for this is some of the most gorgeous I have ever seen in BL. every chapter i am, not to be too on the nose, captivated by how stunning it is!!! You can definitely tell it is a shojo by how pretty and magical the art is characters - 9/10 a red haired delinquent covered in piercings who gets into brawls on the regular meets a smart put together honour student, an unlikely matchbut a perfect one. I really like how the delinquent, misuzu, plays the role of the shy awkward uke meanwhile the nerdy kitahara is the confident romantic who is completely sure of himself and his feelings for misuzu. Their dynamic is wonderful, a breath of fresh air. The character development mainly focuses on misuzu (the delinquent) and him coming to terms with the fact he wants to change, for himself, but also to protect kitahara. The only thing which stops this section from being a 10/10 is the fact kitahara’s character isn’t explored AS much as misuzu, mainly in the sense of his backstory and life outside misuzu.

story - 10/10
The delinquent x nerd trope has definitely been done before, but this is something quite unique. As I write there is 25 chapters out so far, and the story definitely takes its time to develop, so it is a bit of a slow burn but not boring. It’s quite an emotional journey, and at times intense especially in the case of misuzu’s fighting/aggression - however the story focuses on growth and true love. Falling in love may be at the centre of the story, but it’s not all just about that. This manga takes time to explore the troubles of youth, growing up and dark pasts.

overall - 10/10
Please give this a try, I can guarantee it will probably make any lover of BL giggle and kick their feet whilst reading sheerly just because of how sweet and lovely it is whilst also having interesting conflicts (so it’s not just constant fluff).
