"If you could change the world, what would you wish for?" The answer may not be as simple as it seems. You only have one shot, so better not mess it up. And your decision is absolute. Yun Hyunseok, the creator of DICE, also had only one shot; and he shot it, the ball went through the hoop, but instead of landing in the author's hands, it landed in the readers' faces. Oops. Don't get me wrong; DICE is a blast. Once you start reading, you just won't be able to stop. The breathtaking art, the various and vivid characters, the precisely thought-out world of the story withall its abilities and rules and social questions that deem your answers... You'll be enchanted. There's so much action your curiosity will be through the roof.
And then it takes a turn. For worse. And it has nothing to do with Dongtae's new face that makes me wanna puke, it has nothing to do with Mio annoyingly appearing at every possible moment nor has it anything to do with how the series ends, which, by the way, was absurd towards Dongate and I strongly disagree. Why should everyone benefit from his abilities, everyone, but him?
I got sidetracked, never mind. Around chapter 300 or so (may be later) occurs an unfortunate downturn that follows the series till the very end. Half of the chapter is only recapitulation of what's already happened, it's spare, boring and annoying and the ending seems a bit rushed and tacky.
Also, is it just me, or is there implied, that X grew up and had kids?
Anyway, I was going for a 10 there, but the ending just... nah. Overall a good read though. 10/10 would kill for Levitation. And Teleport. And Clairvoyance– you know what, who am I kidding, I'd take them all.
