The show starts off slow and steady, and everything is easy to understand. However, in the later episodes, the pacing suddenly becomes very fast and rushed around ep 85. It becomes hard to understand what is going on. I’m pretty sure they skip a lot of the plot, which makes it very confusing. The visuals and animation are honestly better than most short donghuas out there, which makes the show somewhat enjoyable. The main character is a bit bland. He tries to be funny at times, but it doesn’t really work. His only good quality is that he works hard and trains a lot to get stronger.Yes, he has a very strong and overpowered spirit ability, but he doesn’t rely on it all the time.

The side characters are whacky and uninteresting. New characters are introduced every few episodes, so you don’t get attached to any of them or care about them.

The three female leads, who seem to be his love interests, are:

Qingxue Xiao – She is the first one he meets. She is an okay character and not annoying. She tries to help the main character when they first meet and is honestly the only likeable female lead.

Princess Miaomiao – She is the second one introduced. At first, she is annoying, spoiled, and treats the main character like a servant. She takes his treasures and elixirs, which is frustrating to watch, especially since he accepts it. However, in later episodes, she becomes less annoying.

Bilan Jiang – She is the worst female lead. She constantly tries to seduce and manipulate the main character and even attacks him multiple times. Despite this, the main character keeps saving her for no good reason. It feels very forced just to keep her in the story.

Overall, the story becomes confusing and feels heavily skipped, especially for viewers who haven’t read the manhwa including myself. Because of that, it’s hard to stay invested.

I think it’s an okay show it's neither good nor bad just fine to watch.
