Review of Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro
Ijiranaide is a solid anime. The seemingly hopeless Paisen ends up finding a great dynamic with Nagatoro, and it's pretty entertaining. Her teasing comes along with genuine support for Paisen, while Paisen finds himself becoming bolder and much more respectable. The rom-com side of the anime is quite nice because of his character development, so I have few complaints. The art and facial expressions are great, and the animation was satisfactory for a slice-of-life setting. I think they could have put more time into how his artwork progressed in the second half of the season (it's obvious what I'm talking about once you've watched thewhole season), since a lot of character progression was likely there, but nonetheless Paisen shows plenty of development, a lot of it being subtle but meaningful. I'm looking forward to Paisen and Nagatoro's relationship progress in the next season that's currently airing, as I like the duo a lot.
