Review of [Oshi No Ko]

I have so much to say about this anime... I guess the best way I can describe, it in brief; it is an instant cult classic. But to elaborate, it has an absolutely ridiculous premise, unapologetically genre jumping several times throughout episodes. Goes from annoyingly cute to insanely dark and back again. You'll sit there going, "What the hell am I watching rn?" You will laugh at the stupidity of the plot one moment and then cry at the heartbreaking emotional turmoil the next. It is hilarious to me how the writers will tear through mediocre story progression and plot structure while somehow simultaneously pulling off pitch perfectmotif design and social commentary on the music and art industry. Like, as illogical and unbelievable as some of the dialogue and logic is, the setup and meaning behind the characters' eyes (They knew what they were doing with the name Ai) is so thoughtfully crafted.

If you have a friend that is willing to watch something so strange with you, it's worth the socializing type of analyses. Similar wtf experience to things like The Room or Army of Darkness, but with a more meaningful story.
